Windsor framework can begin “new, pragmatic” era to UK-EU relations

Responding to the agreement stuck between UK and EU negotiators on the Northern Ireland Protocol, Hilary Benn MP, Co-convenor of the UK Trade and Business Commission, said:

“This agreement, for which our Commission has long advocated, shows what can be achieved by putting aside old disagreements and working in good faith to provide stability and certainty.

“While this deal will benefit Northern Ireland most of all, I hope it heralds the start of a new, pragmatic partnership between the UK and the EU which will allow us to turn our attention to sorting out other economic problems created by Brexit.”
