BCC Report: Government must remove barriers of 'unworkable' Brexit deal

Responding to the new British Chambers of Commerce report, Hilary Benn MP co-convenor of the UK Trade and Business Commission, said:

“This report confirms what the Commission has heard time and again about the damaging consequences of having made trade with our most important export market more difficult. Since Brexit, British businesses have been saddled with new red tape, costs and bureaucratic customs checks.

"While deep in the grips of a cost of living crisis, it is imperative that the Government now prioritises making trade with Europe easier by removing the barriers which their unworkable deal has created.”
