Responding to Keir Starmer’s speech at the CBI annual conference, Peter Norris, Chair of Virgin Group and Co-Chair of the UK Trade and Business Commission, said:

“Businesses across all sectors and across all parts of the UK have told us they've spent the last year trying to make Brexit work, but continue to face increased costs, labour shortages and new barriers to trade from the government’s bare bones Brexit deal.

“The Leader of the Opposition is correct, things must change and it is encouraging that he echoed some of the recommendations we have made to the government that can begin to repair the damage. Without action, we are likely to see the loss of more British jobs and businesses."
