Experts outline opportunities and challenges as UK and EU pursue new Youth Experience Scheme
The UK Trade and Business Commission convened a panel of leading experts this week to assess the state of UK-EU relations and examine progress toward a proposed ‘Youth Experience Scheme.’
Witnesses included Matthew Percival, Director of Future of Work and Skills at the CBI; Brian Bell, Chair of the Migration Advisory Committee and Professor of Economics at King’s Business School; and Charley Robinson, Head of Global Mobility Policy at Universities UK.
The session explored both the opportunities and challenges surrounding a potential youth mobility agreement, with experts offering insight into how such a scheme could benefit young people while strengthening UK-EU ties. The discussion also highlighted the complexities of negotiating a framework that meets the needs and expectations of both sides.
