Australia and New Zealand trade deals are nothing to celebrate

Responding to confirmation that the new Australia and New Zealand trade deals will come into effect this month, Layla Moran MP, member of the cross-party UK Trade and Business Commission, said

“The Government’s post-Brexit trade deal firesale has been roundly and soundly panned. The Australia and New Zealand deals in particular will in one swoop undermine British farmers, animal cruelty laws and net zero targets, all while having a negligible impact on growth. They are not something to celebrate.”
